Every tool on this site runs entirely in your browser. Text you type or paste is never sent to a server, never written to storage, and never seen by anyone but you. Closing the tab discards it.
This is a property of how the site is built rather than a promise about how it is operated. The pages contain no upload code, and you can confirm that in your browser's network panel while typing. The one request the page makes on its way out carries a usage record described below, and the text is not part of it.
What is collected
Aggregate page view counts through Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, stores no personal data and does not fingerprint or track visitors between sites. There is no advertising, no cross-site tracking and no third-party analytics.
One usage record per page view, sent as you leave the page, so we can tell which tools are worth keeping. It contains exactly these fields and nothing else:
- Which tool
- The page you used, such as the word counter.
- Whether you typed anything
- True or false. It distinguishes a visit from a use.
- A size band
- One of none, under 100 words, 100 to 1,000, 1,000 to 10,000, or over 10,000. A band, never the actual count, because an exact length can help identify a specific document.
- Which controls you pressed
- For example a speaking pace of 160, or the case conversion you chose. Not what you converted.
- Whether you copied the result
- True or false.
- Seconds on the page, and whether the screen was phone sized
- Rounded to the second.
- The site you arrived from
- The hostname only, such as google.com. Never the full address, because a referring address can carry the search terms you typed.
There is no identifier of any kind in that record, nothing that links one page view to another, and no way to associate it with you. It is written to Cloudflare's own analytics store and never leaves our account.
Cloudflare processes standard server request logs, including IP addresses, to serve and protect the site.
